I didn't know it was coming. Sure we had talked about the possibility of getting engaged but the way he did it was sweet and well thought out, and well...just cute. My entire family knew before me...I can't believe they kept it from me. Every time I think about it I smile. I can't help it. I love him and can't wait to start planning the rest of our lives together.
So of course the next question from everyone is "when's the big day?" The hour after it happened everyone asked that. No time to enjoy the engagement I guess before planning starts in full force. But we did set a date within the first couple of weeks. April 20, 2013. That's the day. That's our day. With so much time before the wedding and before planning really needs to start now it's a lot of research. Research on photographers, DJ's, videographers, florists, cakes, transportation, invitations, linens, the honeymoon...it's never ending. Every detail seems to be overwhelming at this moment...and it's 2 1/2 years away.
But I can not wait to be married to him and to be his daughter's step-mom. I'm ready for us to start our lives together, as one...forever.
